All three coils are wound in the same direction (as a "right hand" spiral).
In the same overall length, the left coil has 5 turns, the center 8 turns, the right 12 turns.
The tops of the coils are connected together and then fed to the input of a current meter
The output of the meter is switched from one coil to another
